2026 World’s Greatest Shave

What an incredible display of courage, generosity and community spirit at Mindarie Senior College’s 12th annual World’s Greatest Shave event, held on Thursday, 21 May.

During Mentor, students and staff came together to raise vital funds and awareness for leukaemia research and support by shaving, cutting, colouring and waxing their hair in support of the cause.

Organised by Student Services and supported by our Student Councillors, the event saw seven brave students, along with the legendary Mr Beyeler, shave their heads, while six students generously donated more than 20cm of hair. We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part.

We extend our thanks to Mark Folkard MLA, who joined us to fulfil his pledge to shave off his trademark moustache in support of our fundraising efforts.

A huge thank you to local hairdressers SoroShiza and The Hair Fairy, who generously donated their time to tidy up participants’ new looks. Their support was kindly organised by College Captain Leilani. Thanks also to our talented music students for providing fantastic entertainment.

Thanks to the incredible support of our college community, we surpassed this year’s fundraising target, raising an amazing $5,003 – our highest-ever total for the World’s Greatest Shave!
