What time does the event start and finish?
The ceremony will commence in the River View Room at 3.00pm with guest seating from 2.45pm. Students are required to arrive at 1.00pm at Optus Stadium (Gates D, Doors 7 & 8) to be issued with their gowns.
The event will conclude at approximately 6.00pm and all students are expected to stay inside the River View Room until this time.
What do students wear?
Students are expected to dress in neat and appropriate attire. As students will be required to walk across the stage, footwear should be comfortable and suitable for this purpose. Very high heels are not recommended.
Upon arrival, each student will be issued with an academic gown and sash to wear over their clothing for the duration of the ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, students will remain in the River View Room to receive their presentation packs from their Mentor teachers. Before leaving the venue, all students must return their gown to the gown collection station located in the concourse area. Please note that gowns must NOT be taken home.
Will refreshments be available to purchase at the venue?
A selection of tea, coffee, soft drinks and light snacks including chips and chocolate bars, will be available for purchase from The Champions Terrace prior to guest seating in the River Room at 2.45pm.
Please be aware that full meals will not be available for purchase at the venue, and there will be no additional food vendors operating within Optus Stadium during the event. We therefore recommend that students and guests enjoy a substantial meal before arriving. As this is a school event, alcohol will not be available.
For those wishing to dine before or after the ceremony, the City View Café within Optus Stadium is available for lunch, while The Camfield, located adjacent to the stadium, is an option for either lunch before the event or for dinner afterwards.
How do I get there?
BY TRAIN – Optus Stadium is easily accessible by train via the Joondalup Line. Travel time from Clarkson Station is approximately 53 minutes, with the 11:59am service arriving at Optus Stadium Station at 12:52pm. We recommend using the Transperth Journey Planner to check train times and plan your journey.
BY CAR – Limited parking will be available on the Northern Oval at Optus Stadium. Guests travelling by car are encouraged to arrive early to secure a parking space. A map of the stadium precinct and parking locations can be downloaded here: Stadium Park Map.
Is there professional photography?
Bliss Studio will be on site to capture this significant milestone for our Year 12 students.
Professional individual and family photographs will be available from 12.30pm in the concourse area near Gates C & D, and again following the ceremony until 6.30pm. In addition, official photographs will be taken throughout the ceremony, including students being recognised on stage.
Information about viewing and ordering photographs will be included in the students’ presentation packs.
We look forward to celebrating your young person’s final year of schooling and recognising this significant milestone at what promises to be a memorable event.
