Year 12 Leavers’ Breakfast
On the final day of Term 3, Friday 25 September, we came together to celebrate and farewell our Year 12 students at our annual Leavers’ Breakfast.
The special morning provided an opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the friendships, memories and connections formed over the past two years at Mindarie Senior College. Students enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast, kindly prepared by Belinda and Gabby from our on-site Ocean Fresh Café, took part in a range of fun games and quizzes, and reminisced while watching a slideshow showcasing highlights from their time at the College.
Following breakfast, students and staff gathered in the PA Space for the farewell awards presentation. Through a mix of heartfelt and humorous awards presented by both staff and students, it was clear just how many meaningful relationships and lasting bonds had been formed during their time at the College. Chloe J spoke on behalf of the Year 12 cohort, expressing how much the teachers had meant to them throughout their journey. She thanked staff for taking the time to know students as individuals beyond their grades and shared that they would be missed more than words could say.
As we farewell the Class of 2026, we thank them for the many contributions they have made to our College community and wish them every success and happiness in the future, wherever their chosen pathway may lead.
A special thank you goes to our Year 12 Leader, Mrs Kath Gilbert, for her unwavering dedication and support of the Class of 2026 over the past two years. We are also incredibly grateful to our Student Services team for the huge amount of work undertaken behind the scenes to organise the Leavers’ Breakfast and help make our Year 12 students’ final week at the College so memorable.
While this farewell marks the end of their schooling journey, there is still one final opportunity for the Class of 2026 to come together. We look forward to celebrating their achievements at the Year 12 Presentation Ceremony on Monday 30 November at Optus Stadium.
The College would also like to wish all Year 12 ATAR students the very best as they prepare for and undertake their WACE examinations.
