2026 Year 11 Colours Night for Semester 1
On Tuesday 11 August, parents, staff and special guests gathered for our Year 11 Colours Night to celebrate and recognise students receiving their first Colours Awards.
A total of 72 Year 11 students were presented with Colours badges and certificates in recognition of their achievements across a range of areas, including academic achievement, endeavour, community and performance. More than 120 parents and staff attended the evening to share in this special celebration of student achievement.
We extend our sincere thanks to College Board Chair Mr Mike Gilbert and Board Vice Chair Mr Wrolf van Muster for joining us and assisting with the presentation of awards.
We were also thrilled to welcome 2019 graduate and musician Skye Sam as our guest speaker who also helped present the awards. Skye, who received Full Colours in recognition of her passion, commitment and dedication during her time at Mindarie Senior College, shared her journey from College music student to successful musician, inspiring our students to embrace every opportunity to pursue their passions.
Adding to the evening’s celebrations, Year 11 music students Chloe Argent, Faye Gallacher and Braden Muriwai also delivered a talented musical performance of Radiohead’s Black Star.
Congratulations to all students who received their Semester One Colours Awards. Your commitment, achievement and contribution to the College community are truly deserving of recognition.
