On Tuesday, 19 February, over 190 parents, staff and students attended the Year 12 Colours Evening where seventy four students were recognised and awarded Colours badges and certificates for their excellent achievement in a range of fields including performance, community work, endeavour and academic results. The night was well supported by parents, family and staff and all were entertained by our Music students and catered for by our new Café ‘Fresh As’.

Our guest speaker Emma Yates who graduated in 2014 spoke about her journey since leaving school.  Emma took a year off studying after leaving school to work and travel.  On her return she pursued her passion as a Pastry Chef, completed training and began her new cake business called ‘Yates Cakes’.  While running her business she also works as a bartender and studied for a Bachelor of Commerce at ECU majoring in Event Management and Marketing.
Emma is an excellent advocate for the College and its philosophies, demonstrating resilience and perseverance.
