Mindarie SC once again wins a place on the National Music Mentoring Program.
On the 14th and 15th June, sixteen MSC Music students were lucky enough to be involved in the ‘Musos in Residence’ mentoring scheme as part of SongMakers - a national mentoring program run by APRA AMCOS.
The students spent two days with songwriter Kev Temperley (Eskimo Joe) and producers Anna Laverty (Ruby Boots, Kate Miller Heidke, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Paul Dempsey) & Grant Windsor (Carole King, BBC Orchestra, Jamie Cullum, Guy Sebastian, Pete Murray) to create ‘market ready’ music, against the clock, from scratch. This is the third time MSC has been involved in the program and shows the talent of our students and music teacher, Ms Lizzie Lysons.

Congratulations to James Atherton, Joseph Buss, Angela David, Karla Edwards, Cory Gillett, Ryan Halliday, Leroy Jackson, Joe Lube, Ben Mackenzie, Camille Nelson, Connor Ranauro, Ruby Savage-White, Christo Scheffer, Jake Sloss, Izaac Visser and Fiona Wilkes for being selected to participate in this program.

Go to www.songmakers.com.au to hear some of the workshop songs and for information about the high profile mentors.
