In Week 8 of Term 3, the Arts Department held its annual ‘Arts Week’ productions.

The week started on Monday, 5 September with an art exhibition by the Year 12 ATAR Visual Arts graduate students where attendees enjoyed the display while nibbling on canapes. Mia-Lynn Rheeder was awarded the Art Acquisition prize which was donated and presented by Mr Mark Folkard MLA. Special contratulations to Jemma Casey whose artwork will be featured on this year's College greetings card. All exhibitors should be congratulated for a fantastic display of work.

Following the art exhibition, the Year 11 and 12 General and ATAR Drama students performed in Dramatis Personae. Students wrote and produced all their own performances, and the range of talents and performances were outstanding.

Tuesday, 6 September commenced with a display from our talented Photography students and our Media Production students showcased their creativeness with their own productions covering a range of genres. Following the display, our Year 11 and 12 ATAR and General Dance students performed their showcase ‘Time to Shine’ to a sold out audience. The solo performances from the ATAR Dance students were awe inspiring and watching all the groups perform in unison was amazing. Special mention to the Year 10 Kinross College Dance students who made a special appearance with a Bollywood style dance.

Arts Week wrapped up on Wednesday, 7 September with our Year 11 and 12 Music students performing in 'Spilt Milk' which was a fabulous finale for the week. The Year 12 students entertained the audience with their original songs that they recorded and produced for their CD.  The CDs are available to purchase from the College Reception for $10.00 each.

Congratulations to all students who received an award for their work over the three nights and to all the students who were involved in Arts Week, either performing, designing sets, photographing or recording the events.
