Course Outline
UniPrep Schools complements students’ senior school commitments by enhancing academic skills development, integrating university experiences, and providing accessible pathways to tertiary study. UniPrep schools program consists of four units. Each unit requires 55 hours of teaching and learning, and students will need to complete some study outside of class time.
Assessments are scheduled for specific weeks to accommodate moderation between high schools and ECU.
Students who successfully complete UniPrep schools and achieve their WACE, will be eligible to apply for undergraduate courses with Academic Admission Band 3 – at absolute discretion of ECU admissions.

- Unit UPU0014 Society and Cultural Studies
- Unit UPU0016 Mathematics
Skills Outline
The course prepares students for university-level study by teaching them the required skills for academic success, with an emphasis on the student becoming an independent learner.
The course is conducted in a supportive and hands-on environment, and covers learning skills, research and writing processes, numeracy tools and accessing knowledge.
Additionally, students will be introduced to university life at ECU and will have access to course and career advice to assist in making informed decisions about undergraduate degree selection
