Fashion & Garment Design
This course is your gateway into the creative and innovative world of fashion. You’ll explore how fabrics and garments are developed and used in today’s technological and sustainable world, with a focus on natural fibers and their modern applications.
Through hands-on projects, you’ll experiment with a wide range of materials and techniques from:
- t-shirt printing
- fabric dyeing
- embroidery & embellishment
Using digital sketching apps and machine embroidery technology to bring your designs to life.
You will expand your design skills by creating garments for a specific client, audience, or market, and follow the design process from concept to your finished piece. There will be exciting opportunities to enter fashion competitions to showcase your creativity.
The course is all about combining traditional craftsmanship with modern fashion technology, whilst keeping personal, social, and environmental sustainability at the heart of what you create.
