Casual, part-time and full-time employment available. Suitable for young people seeking to make a future in the horticultural industry. Benara also offer an ongoing apprenticeship program for Horticultural Certificate III for all permanent employees.

Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority (BGPA)

Applications for the Horticulture Traineeship program will open in mid-October via the WA Government Jobs Board, for commencement in January 2024.

The Traineeships are full-time positions open to applicants who have successfully completed Year 10 or above, and are combined with study at TAFE leading to a Certificate II or III in Horticulture. The Traineeships are fixed-term 12 month positions, with the possibility of extension depending on the qualification level attained. Trainees may work across several of Kings Park and Botanic Garden’s operational areas during their traineeship, including the Nursery, Display Gardens, Turf, Bushland or Arboriculture.
