2025 R U OK Day

On Thursday, 11 September the College community came together at lunch time to get involved in the R U OK Day activities the Student Services team put together for the students to help spread kindness and connection.
Students were given a token that they could swap for a free cookie, cupcade or a bag of lollies.
There were plenty of activities to keep students and staff entertained a photo booth, a Nintendo Switch on the big screen, roving magician who kept the students guessing, ice cream van, table tennis and bracelet and badge making.
Staff wore yellow and black R U OK shirts and donned R U OK badges to show their support of the day and even Walter our therapy gog got involved!
R U OK Day is one way the College encourages students to start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life and to encourage them to keep active, connect with others and do something meaningful.

‘R U OK Day’ is an Australian non-profit suicide prevention organisation, founded in 2009 which advocates for people to have conversations with other to make sure they are doing OK. Have you asked someone if they are OK today?
A big thank you to the Student Services Team for putting the event together and all students and staff for ensuring a positive and fun time for all.
