On Thursday, 11 May, we will once again be holding the World’s Greatest Shave event at the College to support the Leukaemia Foundation fundraiser to help raise money for vital research to ensure more people can survive blood cancers like lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma.
One of our teachers, Mrs Lesley Morrow, will be shaving her head for the cause and has raised over $1000 so far. In 2011 Mrs Morrow's sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and lost her battle in to the disease in 2014, at the early age of 43.
Year 12 student Stevan Merenda will also be shaving off his locks and is also raising funds via the link below.
We have a couple more students who have volunteered to take part on the day!
The College will have lots of fun filled events for the students with hair colouring, braiding, leg waxing and more. We will also be treated to some live music and a sausage sizzle!
The Mindarie Senior College fundraising page link is below or click on the image. Please consider donating, big or small, every little bit counts!
