On Tuesday, 18 February, over 180 parents, staff, students and guests attended the Year 12 Colours Evening where sixty six students were recognised and awarded Colours badges and certificates for their excellent achievement from Semester 2, 2019 in a range of fields including performance, community work, endeavour and academic results. The night was well supported and all were entertained by our Music students and catered for by our new Café ‘Fresh As’.

Our guest speaker, Cassey Smith who graduated in 2008 spoke about her journey since leaving the College and how her career path changed and ended up in a law career after starting out in the Arts.   She reminded students how making good choices is important but if a wrong choice is made, it is not necessarily bad – it’s how you move on from the decision that counts.

A big thank you to our invited guests for taking the time to attend the event and help present the awards to the students, Mr Rod Buckenara - Kinross College Principal, Professor Steve Chapman – College Board member and ECU Vice Chancellor, Ms Sue Egerton – College Board member and  Acting Executive Director North Metro TAFE and Mr Brian Piper – College Board member and local business owner.

Please contact Jane Toomath in Student Services on 6207 5519 or Jane.Toomath1@education.wa.edu.au if you would like a copy of your child receiving their award.
