Library Resource Centre

The Library Resource Centre (LRC) at Mindarie Senior College seeks to provide a safe, welcoming environment for all.  On the shelves you will find everything from Manga to Monopoly, and a great deal in between.

For reference, there are copies of text books, study guides, and even a significant collection of non-fiction books.

The fiction list is extensive, but if you can’t find it, simply ask.  We will do our best to help you obtain it.  For ease, our books are organised in genres, and you are welcome to borrow up to ten books at a time for two weeks.  Unless someone else has requested a copy, you can renew loans both in the library and online.

Through our online presence, “The Hub”, we offer e-books and audiobooks, search engines appropriate for research, and help with creating reference lists and bibliographies.

The Hub has been improved by the award winning software, Syndetics Unbound.  This addition offers suggestions, backgrounds, reviews and biographies to the resources.

Our relatively short history at Mindarie is also accessible through The Hub as College yearbooks, photographs, video and other ephemera.  Student work is often showcased.

In the Library, the young adult ethos of the college is supported, and good digital citizenship is encouraged.  Through resources, both online and physical, we hope to foster skills in lifelong learning.  Most of all, we hope to help you achieve your academic goals.

The LRC is open weekdays from 8am.  It closes at 4:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 4pm on Mondays and Fridays and at 3:30pm on a Wednesday.
