The Accounting and Finance General course aims to make students financially literate by creating an understanding of the systems and processes through which financial practices and decision making are carried out, as well as the ethical, social and environmental issues involved. It helps students to analyse and make informed decisions about finances. They will select and use a variety of financial systems ranging from personal banking and financial planning to small business record-keeping and reporting. Students will develop a broadly based financial literacy that will enable them to deal successfully with the financial aspects of their lives as individuals, employees, and business-people.
This course is ideal for all students but will assist students who are looking to own their own business, learning financial literacy, as well as those looking to go into the workforce.
