CUA20215 - Certificate II Creative Industries (Media)

This is a proposed offering for the 2022 academic year. At the time of publication, no agreements have been entered into with a Registered Training Organisation for the delivery of this qualification. On the basis of interest from students in this qualification, the school will initiate a formal partnership agreement with a RTO for the delivery of the qualification.

Course Outline

This two year course will suit students with an interest in the media industry.

With a strong career focus, students develop media production skills by working in specialised roles to produce media projects such as short action films, commercials, live studio productions, and documentaries. To ensure students are immersed in the media industry, the program includes incursions with professionals, such as editors, camera operators, content producers, and fight directors.

The College is equipped with a High Definition Television Studio that is regarded as one of the finest within the state public education system. In addition, students have access to a 1:1 editing laboratory equipped with the Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Students are provided with a subscription to Adobe Creative cloud to enable work at home on their own device.

Minimum Entrance Requirements

An interest in Media Industry. Completed some computing/media units in Years 8, 9, 10 or 11.
